Lakeshore Hockey 2020-21 Season Communique
Hockey has been on pause for a little over 5 months. The containment measures still in place in our region continue to hamper our ability to put together a hockey season. Considering that the CHL (single letters) has cancelled the remainder of the 2020-2021 hockey season, we have therefore come to the difficult conclusion to cease our activities for the remainder of the 2020 - 2021 season.
This will give us an opportunity to offer some options for refunding the registration fees to our members.
If we are permitted to resume some activities in the near future, we will review our possibilities at that time.
The refunds will be calculated based on the amount paid by member less costs (Administrative costs, Hockey Canada and Hockey Quebec costs, ice costs, program costs). Note the reimbursements applies to deposited payments, all other non-deposited cheque payments will be destroyed.
Here are the options we are offering:
- Request refund of registration fees less prorated costs
- Carry forward your allowable refund to your account for use against your 2021 – 2022 registration fees. (for those that choose this option we will waive any potential increase in registration fees for 2021 – 2022)
We will be sending out emails detailing the refunds for the 2020 – 2021 season with a chance for you to respond with your choice.
This is definitely not the outcome we had hoped for however we feel this is in the best interest of all parties.
We would like to thank all our members for your patience and understanding.
Stay safe and we look forward to an exciting 2021 – 2022 season.
